The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga has taken today the decision that Enver Zymberi, policeman of the special unit of the Kosovo Police, killed on duty, to be decorated with the Order “Hero of Kosovo”, with motivation “for bravery and dedication shown up in sacrifice for the establishment of the rule of law throughout the territory of Kosovo.”<\/p>\n
The decision was taken based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, article 84, section 28, and based on the Regulation on Decorations, Orders and Titles of Honor of Kosovo, which are given by the President of Kosovo and their Awarding Procedures, Sections 3 and 5.<\/p>\n
The order “Hero of Kosovo” is given to citizens of Kosovo and foreign citizens, of modern times, from the League of Prizren and onwards, who have done deeds of courage for the freedom and independence of Kosovo.<\/p>\n
The funeral of police officer Enver Zymberi shall be performed with all the ceremonies and honors which are foreseen for the Hero of Kosovo.<\/p>\n
President Jahjaga will hand over the medal to family Zymberi during a special ceremony.
