President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, during her official visit to Brussels, met today with the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security, Baroness Ashton, with whom she discussed the Kosovo’s European agenda, the Stabilisation-Association Agreement and the Visa liberalisation process.<\/p>\n
President Jahjaga said that Kosovo has made considerable advances in achievement of the criteria and standards and that concrete results are expected this year on Kosovo’s journey towards European Union membership.<\/p>\n
Baroness Ashton expressed her appreciation to President Jahjaga for her leadership, for her engagement in Kosovo’s European path and for the support that she has been providing to the dialogue process taking place in Brussels between the Prime Ministers of Kosovo and Serbia.<\/p>\n
Baroness Ashton spoke about the meeting that she is facilitating between the two Presidents and said that it is important that this meeting will serve\u00a0 in function of the normalisation of relations and as support to the dialogue process where representatives are on equal footing, without new subjects being opened and without a specific agenda.
