President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today at a meeting the Defence Minister of the Republic of Italy, Mr. Mario Mauro, accompanied by the Ambassador of Italy to Kosovo, Mrs. Andreas Ferrarese, and KFOR Commander, General Salvatore Farina.<\/p>\n
President Jahjaga highly praised the help which Italy has provided
\nand continues to provide for Kosovo at all stages, particularly
\nemphasizing the help provided through participation of the Italian
\ntroupes within the NATO peacekeeping force, KFOR. Madam President stated
\nthat KFOR continues to play an important role in securing of the peace
\nand stability in Kosovo as well as the whole region of the South-Eastern
\nEurope.<\/p>\n
She also added that cooperation between Republic of
\nKosovo and Republic of Italy is excellent and emphasized the need for
\nthe expansion of this cooperation in all fields.<\/p>\n
President
\nJahjaga also said that Kosovo has achieved particular progress as a
\nstate f all its citizens, regardless, and has also played an important
\nrole as a promoter of good neighbourliness. She added that integration
\nof Kosovo in Euro-Atlantic structures is a priority of the institutions
\nof the country and that establishment of contractual relations with
\nNATO, through the Partnership for Peace, would help in securing the
\nstability of the country and of the whole region. Madam President added
\nthat Italian help in the process of Euro-Atlantic integrations would
\nhelp Kosovo towards achievement of standards and fulfilment of required
\ncriteria.<\/p>\n
The Defence Minister of the Republic of Italy, Mr.
\nMario Mauro, praised the achievements of Kosovo and emphasized the
\ndedication of Italy on supporting of the integrative processes of Kosovo
\nand the whole Balkans. He also expressed the dedication. <\/p>\n
