President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, signed today, jointly with the US Ambassador to Kosovo, Ms. Tracey Ann Jacobson and USAID Kosovo Mission Director, Ms. Maureen A. Shauket, the Development Objective Grant Agreement.<\/p>\n
The Agreement emphasizes the dedication of the Government of the USA to help Kosovo with 37,432,028 US Dollars, through a support fund for a number of USAID activities in Kosovo. Funds will be utilized for supporting of rule of law and governance activities, activities towards increasement of investments and jobs in the private sector as well as increase of human capital in Kosovo.<\/p>\n
President Jahjaga praised as very important the support of USA for Kosovo in all fields, and in particular in the field of rule of law and order, which on turn helps investment of foreign capital in the country. She also added that Kosovo is proud of its friendship with USA and stated that today’s bilateral agreement, as are all other agreements between the two countries, is the foundation of an excellent cooperation and by all means an extraordinary help for Kosovo’s capacity raising.
