President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, met today in Paris with the Foreign Affairs Minister of the Republic of France, Mr. Laurent Fabius, with whom she discussed the actual developments in Kosovo and the integrational processes of Kosovo and of the Balkan region.<\/p>\n
President Jahjaga expressed her gratitude to Minister Fabius for the continuous support of the French government for the processes which Kosovo and the region is going through and stated that Kosovo has made important advances towards the consolidation of its democracy and its international subjectivity, emphasizing the importance of further support on this issue of the different countries of the world, inclusive of France. President Jahjaga pointed out that it is important for Kosovo to build good relations with the Republic of France and expansion of cooperation in the field of economy.<\/p>\n
Speaking about the importance and the impact of the dialogue process between Republic of Kosovo and Republic of Serbia, President Jahjaga said that full implementation in practice of the agreements achieved through dialogue is of utmost importance, as this will ease the lives of the citizens and contributes towards normalisation of the relations between the two countries and opens the European perspective for both countries.<\/p>\n
Madam President also said that Kosovo has also made important steps ahead in the process of European integrations through the Stabilisation Association Agreement. Madam President pointed out that it is of importance to the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo that the visa liberalisation process is concluded as soon as possible and that the citizens of Kosovo travel to EU visa free, as the rest of the citizens of the countries of the region.<\/p>\n
President Jahjaga said that European integration process is of a particular importance to the advancement of all the countries, offering a viable peace perspective and progress of the region.<\/p>\n
President of the Republic of Kosovo said that on June 8th Kosovo will conclude an important process of general elections, which will help the country on its path ahead and emphasized that all institutions and the whole society of Kosovo are engaged to holding of peaceful, democratic, fair and comprehensive elections.

\nForeign Affairs Minister of the Republic of France, Mr. Laurent Fabius, praising the engagements of President Jahjaga, stated that she has played an important role in the society of Kosovo, especially with her work in support of the rule of law. He said that his country follows with attention the developments in Kosovo and the Balkan region, and emphasized the support of France for the processes which our country is going through.<\/p>\n
He also said that relations between the two countries have marked a considerable progress in the field of economy and expressed the readiness for their further intensification.<\/p>\n
President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, is currently in Paris, where she is attending the proceedings of the Global Summit of Women , which is this year being organised under the patronage of the French government.
