\nTwo and a half decades later, a unified Germany is a living testimony that unity makes us stronger. A powerful economy, a prosperous democracy, a strong promoter of European and Euro-Atlantic integration. A remarkable achievement that shows that when there is a will there is a way.

\nGermany is an inspiration for the people of Kosovo. Many, in different periods of our effort to establish our state, have been welcomed by this friendly country, whose unlimited help we will always cherish. We are grateful for Germany’s leading role in bringing to an end the war in Kosovo and in building peace, for the trust and confidence that they have placed in our vision for a free and independent Kosovo, at peace with its neighbours.

\nOur two countries today enjoy a viable partnership and a strong friendship, forged by the mutual trust in the values of freedom, democracy and rule of law.

\nKosovo is very proud and remains committed to this partnership with Germany and its people, a sustainable friendship based on joint values of democracy and rule of law.

\nLadies and Gentlemen
\n\u00a0
\nKosovo is continuously building its democracy and we are all discovering that democracy can only work if we allow it to mature and to yield results, because democracy is always work in progress. In the last one hundred days, as institutions and people of Kosovo we have been faced with the challenge of a young parliamentary democracy, with an untested constitution. We have embarked on these processes with the calm and maturity of an old democracy, by giving our institutions – mandated to find solutions in accordance with the rule of law – the authority and trust to find solutions.<\/p>\n
And despite how testing this process has been, I am convinced that we will come out of it stronger and our democracy will become consolidated. The stakes are high because we are not deciding only for the present, but also for the future.

\nI want to assure you that our path is irreversible. We will prosper. We will succeed.
