President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, has congratuled President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Tha\u00e7i, on assuming his new post.<\/p>\n
In a letter sent to President Tha\u00e7i, his Italian counterpart wrote that the two countries are linked with a strong bilateral relations reflected in a political dialogue at all levels through increased cooperation “The importance Rome gives to the relations with Kosovo is reflcted also in the quality participation of Italy in international missions that are active in your country”, the Italian President Mattarella wrote in his letter of congratulations.

The importance Rome gives to the relations with Kosovo is reflected also in the quality participation of Italy in international missions that are active in your country.

\nTherefore, my wish is that during your term, and also thanks to a renewed dialogue between the political actors, Kosovo shall make concrete and lasting progress within internal reforms needed to move forward on the path to the joint European home, and in normalizing relations with your neighbors.
