Friday, May 6th, 2016 – President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Tha\u00e7i received today the President of the Football Federation of Kosovo, Fadil Vokrri.<\/p>\n

Presidenti Tha\u00e7i congratulated President Vokrri upon membership of Kosovo in the UEFA, expressing his conviction for Kosovo’s membership in FIFA.<\/p>\n

“I want to thank once again the President of the Football Federation of Kosovo and the legend of Kosovan football, Fadil Vokrri for his extraordinary contribution for Kosovo’s UEFA membership and I remain fully confident that our federation will join FIFA very soon”, President Tha\u00e7i said.<\/p>\n

He stated that after Kosovo’s UEFA membership, construction of a new stadium in the capital must start, to provide European conditions for Kosovan talents.<\/p>\n

According to him, the construction of the stadium is a national interest and for this there is political and Kosovo-wide consensus.<\/p>\n

“We must start with the construction of the new stadium and this support, where I will also contribute, will grow every day more and more. I know that there is a full consensus of everyone in Kosovo to build this stadium”, he added.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the president of the Football Federation of Kosovo, Fadil Vokrri, on behalf of associates, all clubs, players, referees, technical staff and administration, thanked President Tha\u00e7i for the support he has given to the Football Federation of Kosovo throughout the process of Kosovo’s membership in the UEFA.<\/p>\n

“I promise that we will never stop. Thanks to efforts of the Government and the country’s institutions, which, I reiterate, have proven to be strong support for us, and their help, we have easier overcome this difficult path. Once again, I would like to thank you and wish you every success in your work”, Vokrri added.<\/p>\n
