Re\u00e7ak, January 14, 2017 –The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Tha\u00e7i, has paid homage today at the Memorial Complex in Re\u00e7ak and unveiled the statue of former Ambassador William Walker in this village.<\/p>\n
President Tha\u00e7i said that in Re\u00e7ak happened that which was expected to happen the least, but, according to him, then the whole world saw how in Kosovo the genocide by the state Serbia on the innocent population was happening.<\/p>\n
“The genocide of the state of Serbia on the innocent population opened the eyes of all the diplomacy of the world”, he said.<\/p>\n
President Tha\u00e7i stressed that the United States had told their truth, at that time NATO was preparing for action against the Serb armed forces and police, and various international organizations had begun to see from close the developments in Kosovo.<\/p>\n
“Part of these international organizations was the right man, in the name of the right state, namely Ambassador William Walker, with strong support of the United States of America”, stated President Tha\u00e7i.<\/p>\n
“Walker was the right man who told the truth, which opened the eyes of the world and the world immediately called the conference in Rambouillet”, added President Tha\u00e7i.<\/p>\n
He emphasized that not only now, after 18 years, but we will always remember the victims and the unmatched heroism of the Albanian population, along with the major and unique efforts of the people of Kosovo.<\/p>\n
“Today every citizen of the country should feel good, wherever they live, in Kosovo and the diaspora, because he has the attributes of a liberator”, stressed President Tha\u00e7i.<\/p>\n
Also, the Head of State said that all should work for the future of the country, for Kosovo to be as quick as possible part of NATO and the European Union, and to cultivate the eternal relations with the United States of America .<\/p>\n
“The United States of America always were and remain alongside to Kosovo”, said President Tha\u00e7i.<\/p>\n
Before the unveiling of the statue of former US ambassador William Walker, President Tha\u00e7i thanked him for his contribution for Kosovo's freedom and for being present today in Re\u00e7ak, noting that his statue symbolizes the truth about Kosovo in front of the world and represents the symbol freedom and independence.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
