Prishtina, February 03, 2017 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Tha\u00e7i, received today the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, with whom he discussed about the promotion of the relations between the Kosovo institutions and NATO.<\/p>\n
At the meeting with Secretary
\nStoltenberg, President Tha\u00e7i highly assessed the work of KFOR in Kosovo, saying
\nthat with their dedication they have managed to be the most trusted institution
\nfor our citizens.<\/p>\n
“Kosovo highly
\nappreciates your role and the expressed readiness to create a base for the
\ngrowth of our cooperation. Our country remains committed for the advancement of
\nthe relations with NATO, on both political and practical level”, stated
\nPresident Tha\u00e7i.<\/p>\n
“The only aspiration
\nof Kosovo remains the membership into the EU and NATO”, he added.<\/p>\n
President Tha\u00e7i and Secretary
\nStoltenberg also talked about the engagement of the Kosovo authorities in the
\nfight against terrorism and religious extremism, about the Kosovo Security
\nForce, but also about the dialogue with Serbia and the neighborly relations
\nwith the countries of the Western Balkans.
