Prishtina, February 17, 2017 \u2013 The President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Joachim Gauck, has sent a congratulatory letter to President Tha\u00e7i on the occasion of the ninth anniversary of the declaration of independence of the country.<\/p>\n

In his congratulatory message, the Head of the German state has written that, in the year that passes, Kosovo has achieved wider international recognition presentation and, most recently, as stated in the letter of congratulations, through the successful participation at the Olympic Games.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn my behalf and on behalf of my countrymen, I convey to You and all the citizens of Your country my heartfelt wishes on the Independence Day of the Republic of Kosovo. Last year, Kosovo has achieved wider international presentation and recognition, most recently through the successful participation at the Olympic Games. With the entry into force of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, Kosovo has marked another decisive moment on its path towards the rapprochement with the European Union. This offers the Kosovar economy important\u00a0 development prespectives\u201d, it is said in the letter of congratulation of President Gauck.<\/p>\n

He encouraged President Tha\u00e7i for his actions, so that Kosovo in a consistent manner continues the path of further reform and improvement of neighborly relations with Serbia as well.<\/p>\n
