Prishtina, June 22, 2017 \u2013 The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Tha\u00e7i, has traveled for an official visit to the Arb\u00ebresh people in Calabria, Italy.<\/p>\n
In the region of Calabria, President Tha\u00e7i will meet the Prefect of Cosenza, Gianfranco Tomao, the President of the Province of Cosenza, Franco Iacucci, the Mayor of the Municipality of Cosenza, Mario Occhiuto and the other mayors of the Arb\u00ebresh Municipalities of Calabria<\/p>\n
During his stay in Cosenza, the President will pay homage at the Skanderbeg Monument and will also visit the Arb\u00ebresh Church.<\/p>\n
Likewise, he will visit the University of Calabria, where he will meet the Rector, the professors and the Albanian students.<\/p>\n
After the visit to the University of Calabria, President Tha\u00e7i will also meet the Bishop of the Arb\u00ebresh Diocese of Ungaria, Monsignor Donato Oliverio.<\/p>\n
Whereas, in the afternoon, in the Arb\u00ebresh village of Saint Sophia (Santa Sofia d'Epiro), the President will also meet the Arb\u00ebresh community and the Mayor of the Municipality, Gianfranco Ceramella.<\/p>\n
During his stay in this province of Cosenza, at the Arb\u00ebresh College of St. Adrian, President Tha\u00e7i will meet also the Mayor of the Municipality of St. Mitre, Salvatore Lamirata, the Director of the Lyceum, Concetta Smeriglio, and representatives of Arb\u00ebresh\u00eb Cultural Associations \u201cFAA\u201d and \u201cUNIARB\u201d, together with the Presidents of the foundations.<\/p>\n
Further on, President Tha\u00e7i will also pay homage in Albanian Macchia, at the grave of poet Jeronim De Rada, and will also visit Jeronim De Rada\u2019s house and meet with the Cultural Association \u201cJeronim De Rada\u201d, together with the Macchia community.<\/p>\n
President Tha\u00e7i will also visit the Arb\u00ebresh people in the town of Rende.<\/p>\n
He will visit the Strigar\/San Cosmo Albanese community, where he will meet with the Mayor of the Municipality, Damiano Baffa, as well as with the Arb\u00ebresh community there.<\/p>\n
After Strigar, the President will also visit the Vaccarizzo Albanese village, where he will meet with the Arb\u00ebresh community and the Mayor of the Municipality, Antonio Pomillo.<\/p>\n
Finally, President Tha\u00e7i will also visit the Arb\u00ebresh community in Frasnita, where he will meet the Mayor, Angelo Catapano, and the Arb\u00ebresh community of this locality.<\/p>\n
During his visit to Frasnita, President Tha\u00e7i will also visit the Icons Museum and Ethnographic Museum.<\/p>\n
