The President of Kosovo, Hashim Tha\u00e7i, has visited the house of the National Renaissance colossus, Jeronim De Rada, and has paid homage at his grave in Macchia, Calabria.<\/p>\n
The President has said that the Arb\u00ebresh people have given meaning to the most important Albanian political and cultural movement, the National Renaissance, headed by the colossus of literature, Jeronim De Rada.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Arb\u00ebresh people haven given meaning to the National Renaissance, headed by the colossus of literature, Jeronim De Rada. Today, I paid homage at De Rada\u2019s grave and visited his house in Macchia, where I also met the Arb\u00ebresh community and the Cultural Association \u201cJeronim De Rada\u201d.<\/p>\n
The square of Macchia was swarming from liveliness and Arb\u00ebresh speakers. For the outstanding cultural contribution, I have decorated the \u201cJeronim De Rada\u201d Association with the Presidential Medal of Merits\u201d, wrote President Tha\u00e7i.<\/p>\n
Jeronim De Rada has played a major role in the history of Albanian literature. His influence over contemporary Arb\u00ebresh writers was enormous, and the poetic tradition written by him continues to live renewed also in today\u2019s Arb\u00ebresh literature.
