Brussels, July 03 \u2013 The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Tha\u00e7i has participated today at the joint meeting with the President of Serbia, Aleksander Vucic and the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, in the framework of the dialogue on the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.<\/p>\n
After the meeting, led by Mrs. Mogherini President Tha\u00e7i said that at the meeting with the President of Serbia, Vucic, we focused on the necessity of opening a new phase of dialogue that would lead to the full normalization and reconciliation between our states and our people.

\n\u201cIt was a common conclusion that only the normalization of full inter-state relations, only the reconciliation between our countries and people represents more peace, stability for both countries, for the region, the safer and faster European future of our countries\u201d, he added.
\n\u00a0
\nThe President has said that the European Union will lead this successful process, an intensive, dynamic process of this new phase with a clear vision and purpose, but at the same time also with deadlines.
\n\u00a0
\n\u201cWe have agreed to complete this process as soon as possible, to be accessible in the fastest possible way, to be finalized and implemented as soon as possible\u201d, he added.

\nPresident Tha\u00e7i said that this process will not be a contest, but it will be a process of standards, values that must prevail for the good of our two countries and people, and these values are the European values.

\n\u201cSo, it will be a process based on European standards and values, and the interest of the two countries\u201d, said the President.
\n\u00a0
\nHe declared of being convinced and confident that the institutions of Kosovo, the political spectrum of Kosovo, the civil society, the media, personalities with influence on the public opinion, expert teams will make their valuable contribution to this very important process for the European future of Kosovo.

\nPresident Tha\u00e7i has previously held a bilateral meeting with the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini.

\nAt this meeting, the President stressed the necessity of concrete European steps for Kosovo, the conclusion of the visa liberalization process for the citizens of Kosovo, stopping the unfair isolation being made to the citizens of Kosovo.
