{"id":68389,"date":"2017-12-21T11:58:13","date_gmt":"2017-12-21T11:58:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.president-ksgov.net\/president-thaci-discussed-with-the-consultative-council-on-the-protection-of-the-rights-of-communities\/"},"modified":"2023-03-07T09:33:56","modified_gmt":"2023-03-07T09:33:56","slug":"president-thaci-discussed-with-the-consultative-council-on-the-protection-of-the-rights-of-communities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/president-ksgov.net\/en\/president-thaci-discussed-with-the-consultative-council-on-the-protection-of-the-rights-of-communities\/","title":{"rendered":"President Tha\u00e7i discussed with the Consultative Council on the Protection of the Rights of Communities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Prishtine, 21 December 2017 \u2013ThePresident of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Tha\u00e7i, today convened the Consultative Council for Communities.<\/p>\n<p>President Tha\u00e7i stated that he has closely followed the work of the Consultative Council and has commended them for engaging in improving the legal framework in Kosovo, where community rights are better promoted and protected.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe engagement in promoting the Law on Protection from Discrimination was of particular importance, empowering the role of women in society and on education issues for communities&#8221;, stressed President Tha\u00e7i.<\/p>\n<p>He has also supported the request of the Consultative Council for Communities to increase the budget.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will work with relevant institutions that next year you will have a budget that best suits your needs&#8221;, he said.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of the State added that the dialogue among all communities in Kosovo is his priority.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am pleased to note that during this year we have managed to promote even more the dialogue between communities. It is worth mentioning here the establishment of the Preparatory Team for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. This institution will promote dialogue between Kosovo&#039;s communities and will engage in closing the chapter of war for all communities. Better life is built by agreeing to coexistence, cooperation, partnership between us all&#8221;, stressed the President.<\/p>\n<p>The country&#039;s president has said that next year we will mark the tenth anniversary of the state of Kosovo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis celebration will be a celebration of all Kosovo&#039;s communities. I invite you to become part of the preparations for marking this important date for Kosovo. Communities are our wealth.
