The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Tha\u00e7i, handed over the Flag of Kosovo to the Olympic Team solemnly, who will participate in the winter Olympic Games \u201cPyeongChang 2018\u201d, to be held in South Korea<\/p>\n
He said that today is a special moment for Kosovo, because for the first time in history it is participating in the Winter Olympics.<\/p>\n
\u201cEven for me as President of the country, for the state and for the Kosovar society, but also for the whole world, the participation of Kosovo for the first time in the Olympic Winter Games in Korea, is news. I hope that not only the participation will be news, but we will also have strong news of winning a medal\u201d, said President Tha\u00e7i.<\/p>\n
He further said that \u201cwe have full confidence in Albin\u2019s dedication, creativity and talent, who will make us all feel proud like Majlinda did earlier, and now it\u2019s Albin\u2019s turn\u201d, adding further that we will all be oriented, focused and in powerful support for Albin, for his success.<\/p>\n
At the end, President Tha\u00e7i, wishing for the greatest successes, said \u201cAllow me that as the President of the country, to hand over to the President of the Olympic Committee, the entire team, the Flag of the Republic of Kosovo, of our state, which will be raised in Korea, I reemphasize, for the first time in the Winter Olympics, but it is also another special moment since this whole history is happening on the occasion of the 10th Anniversary of the Independence, on the 20th Anniversary of the Battle of the Kosovo Liberation Army in Prekaz and on the 19th Anniversary of the freedom of Kosovo\u201d.<\/p>\n
Whereas, Besim Hasani, Chairman of the Olympic Committee, thanked President Tha\u00e7i for handing over the flag, expressing his confidence that this will affect the motivation of Albin.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am sure that the handing over of the flag to the Olympic Team will influence Albin\u2019s motivation, who is extremely well prepared and he has has no dilemma to protect the colors of the Republic of Kosovo\u201d.<\/p>\n
He expressed his gratitude to President Tha\u00e7i for his continued support for sports.<\/p>\n
\u201cI sincerely want to thank you for the permanent support for sport, for your participation in Rio and your efforts despite the difficult agenda to be in PyeongChang as well\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n
According to Hasani, the support of the President will not only increase the motivation of Albin, but also of the entire delegation who will be there, but I know and I am very confident that the image of the state of Kosovo will expand.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou have also been invited by President Thomas Bach to be there and you have a special invitation and we would be very happy if you will be able that despite the difficult agenda to be present in PyeongChang\u201d, said Besim Hasani.<\/p>\n
Whereas, skier Albin Tahiri, who will represent Kosovo in \u201cPyeongChang\u201d, expressed his happiness for being able to represent Kosovo in the South Korean Olympic Games.<\/p>\n

At the end, President Tha\u00e7i said that Albin\u2019s participation in the Olympics and the Kosovo flag will strengthen our country.
