Dear Mr. President,<\/p>\n
On behalf of the American people, I congratulate Kosovo on the tenth anniversary of its independence.<\/p>\n
Over the past 10 years, Kosovo has made great strides in strengthening its sovereignty and multiethnic democracy. While more work must be done, we applaud your progress.<\/p>\n
As your country enters its second decade of statehood, the United States is committed to helping Kosovo build on a strong foundation of shared democratic principles, regional cooperation, and the rule of law. In doing so, Kosovo will take further strides toward integration into the Western Community of Nations.<\/p>\n
We look to Kosovo to be an important partner to the United States. On this historic occasion, I wish the people of Kosovo my best.<\/p>\n
