Bratislava, June 7th 2019 \u2013 The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Tha\u00e7i, participated today at the \u201cGlobSec\u201d international conference in Bratislava, Slovakia.<\/p>\n
President Tha\u00e7i said that \u201cGlobSec\u201d for is an exceptional opportunity for the state of Kosovo to affirm its achievements, to present our successes attained as an independent and sovereign state, in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, state which, together with four other European Union member states , has not as yet recognised the state of Kosovo.\u00a0 <\/p>\n
\u201cWe had good possibilities to meat various personalities and leaders of the European Union and its member states, as well as officials from the United States of America\u201d, said President Tha\u00e7i.<\/p>\n
The head of state stated that there are various viewpoints of the actual reality, there are fundamental differences, which is rather normal, on the achievements of the dialogue process in the past but also on the implementation process.<\/p>\n
\u201cI reiterate one more time that Serbia must implement the agreements and obligations taken upon, weather in the energy sector or in the IBM. Also, not to hinder the Serbs in the North to functionalise the bridge which is dividing the city and its people,\u201d said the President. <\/p>\n
The head of state added that Kosovo will carry out all its obligations it signed to in 2013.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the same time, Serbia must not prevent Kosovo\u2019s ethnic Serbian citizens to participate at the team writing the statute of the responsibilities we took upon ourselves in Brussels,\u201d said President Tha\u00e7i.<\/p>\n
The head of state said that the debate was an opportunity to search for the opportunities for the continuation of the dialogue.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe debate with Presidents Djukanović and Vučić was, I think, in the spirit of a discussion, a search for dialogue continuation opportunities, overcoming of obstacles and difficulties which condition the dialogue and to be able to achieve a final, historic and comprehensive agreement which will conclude with a mutual recognition between the state of Kosovo and Serbia. Irrespective of critics and sceptics, the dialogue has no alternative\u201d, said President Tha\u00e7i.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n
