Prishtina, November 27th 2019 \u2013 President of the Republic of Kosovo Hashim Tha\u00e7i, participated today at the marking of the Kosovo Security Force Day.<\/p>\n
President Tha\u00e7i said that the Day of the Force finds Kosovo in mourning, as yesterday\u2019s earthquake claimed tens of lives of our brothers and sisters in Albania, also causing excessive material damage.<\/p>\n
\u201cKosovo and the world are solidarizing in unseen aspect with the tragedy in Albania,\u201d said president Tha\u00e7i.<\/p>\n
He also added that the Day of the Force is being marked as the day of the Army of the Republic of Kosovo, which is in service to all its citizens.<\/p>\n
The head of state pointed out that from this place we encourage our soldiers in Albania, the contingent joining the humanitarian operation in aid of the Albanian authorities, to mend the damage and help overcome the current situation.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are together, as we have always been. As have been many generations before us, in good times and bad times, always next to one another Albania and Kosovo, always together.<\/p>\n
He stated that Kosovo Security Force, with all its units, has continuously done wonderful work, has raised the level of professionalism and preparation to the highest degree and It has performed with responsibility, with professionalism, with impartiality, any task assigned to it so far.<\/p>\n
\u201cKSF has become a force that enjoys the trust of all citizens. It has become an institution that contributes to peace and stability in Kosovo, and to a peaceful and secure life for all of us, \u201csaid the President, and added that \u201cwherever the members of the Kosovo Security Force have been to, as they were recently at a prestigious military competition United Kingdom, they have excelled with their professional work and commitment.<\/p>\n
The head of state also added that the ranks of the Kosovo Security Force are made up of the finest boys and girls of all the communities.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou are one of the supreme values of our country, the most sublime values of the Republic of Kosovo. You are our strength and the best guarantee of the security, stability and resistance of the Republic of Kosovo,\u201d said the President.<\/p>\n
President Tha\u00e7i emphasized that Kosovo Security force commenced at the beginning of this year a transformation process, based on the Comprehensive Transition Plan.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs the President of the Republic of Kosovo and the Supreme Commander, as per the new structure, I have decreed the generals of the Kosovo Security Force. I have decreed the new emblem, the new design of our soldiers\u2019 uniforms, the emblems of the units and the ranks of the Kosovo Security Force,\u201d said President Tha\u00e7i and added that with the support of the strategic partners over the years, the Security Force has built centers that have sufficient educational and training capacities, such as the Search and Rescue Training Centre, the University Studies Centre and many others.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd by now, the US Armoured Vehicle Maintenance centre is at the final construction stages, and which will be a regional centre in service to all countries of the region. Also, I am happy that with the recent recruitments in the Security Force the number of women and community members as soldiers of the Republic of Kosovo has increased significantly,\u201d said the President.<\/p>\n
President Tha\u00e7i reiterated that Republic of Kosovo is committed to peace, security, stability and cooperation with everyone.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur goal is NATO integration and we are convinced that permanent peace in the Balkans is achieved only with the membership of every country in our region in NATO\u201d, said President Tha\u00e7i.<\/p>\n
Cooperation with KFOR and NATO, according to President Tha\u00e7i, is at the highest level in terms of communication and coordination of activities and he believes in further deepening of this cooperation in the future.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n
\u201cEven with its current capabilities, the Kosovo Security Force is ready to support our partners and NATO allies in maintaining peace, security and democracy, anywhere in the world, whenever our partners and allies need our support\u201d, said the President.<\/p>\n
President Tha\u00e7i thanked all partner states, with the USA and NATO at the helm, for the continued support they have given us and continue to give us in the development of the Kosovo Security Force.\u00a0 <\/p>\n
President Tha\u00e7i said that we have worked in unity and with dedication to make our nation and our country with an army and that this was the best example to the political leadership, as when we are united towards a goal, we are always victorious.<\/p>\n
\u201cCreation of the army has been a dream and a sacrifice of all generations, and thus, by respecting the Security Force, we also respect our glorious past, which is the foundation of Kosovo\u2019s freedom and liberation. Freedom, the independent state and the army provide us with the identity and pride of liberation and democracy,\u201d said President Tha\u00e7i.<\/p>\n
As the supreme commander, President Tha\u00e7i asked the Kosovo Security Force Soldiers to work even harder, to be more determined, as very soon we shall be side by side with many other armies in various missions around the world.
