Re\u00e7ak, December 10th 2019 \u2013 President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Tha\u00e7i, on the International Human Rights Day, paid homage at the Re\u00e7ak memorial Complex.<\/p>\n
President Tha\u00e7i stated that he chose to visit Re\u00e7ak today, as it represents the pinnacle of the massacres perpetrated by the state of Serbia against the civilian population of Kosovo.<\/p>\n
The head of state said that Serbia committed genocide in Kosovo, carried out around 400 massacres against Albanian civilians, killed around 1300 children, raped around 20000 women and killed around 13000 Albanian civilians, and added that \u201cthose who have perpetrated these crimes against humanity have never been investigated and have not been brought before either local or international bodies of justice.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cToday is the International Human Rights day, on which the state of Kosovo is working to the maximum, to affirmatively respect in its fullness the highest western human rights standards in Kosovo. But at the same time, we must always remember the past to be able to move assuredly forwards, towards a safe future for all citizens, regardless, for the empowerment of the state and at the same time, our Euro-Atlantic future.<\/p>\n
Today I have purposefully chosen to visit Re\u00e7ak, which marks the pinnacle of the massacres perpetrated by the state of Serbia against the civilian population of Kosovo, as part of the genocide campaign exercised by the Serbian state. Serbia perpetrated around 400 massacres against Albanian civilians, killed around 1300 children, raped around 20000 women, and at the same time killed around 13000 Albanian civilians. I reiterate, Re\u00e7ak marks the pinnacle of the massacres and crimes against humanity perpetrated by the state of Serbia in Kosovo.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, those who have perpetrated these crimes against humanity have never been investigated and have not been brought before either local or international bodies of justice.<\/p>\n
The future is not built by denying the crimes, by offending the murdered civilians of |Kosovo, or others as the case may be in Bosnia or Croatia.\u00a0 The future is only built by accepting the responsibility, and at the same time Serbian leadership must apologise for the crimes committed in the state of Kosovo. <\/p>\n
Unfortunately, I must also say with a great disappointment that the silence of the internationals, lack of their visits, especially to Re\u00e7ak, which I emphasize is the pinnacle of the massacres carried out by the state of Serbia, has absolved and amnestied in one form or another and opened the mouth of the current leadership in Serbia to pretend and with pride to deny the crimes against humanity and the genocide in Kosovo,\u201d said President Tha\u00e7i.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
