Pristina, 1 January 2020 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Tha\u00e7i, celebrated the New Year 2020 last night with the soldiers of the Kosovo Security Force at Adem Jashari barracks in Pristina.<\/p>\n
On this occasion, President Tha\u00e7i congratulated all the KSF soldiers who were on duty.<\/p>\n
On the occasion of change of year, the head of state congratulated them on the excellent performance they have demonstrated.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou are the pride and honor of the state of Kosovo and of the citizens of Kosovo. The establishment of the Army is a tremendous achievement, “the president said.<\/p>\n
He further said that as the president of the country, but also as the Supreme Commander of the Kosovo Army, he feels very proud when the citizens of Kosovo celebrate in a free, independent and sovereign Kosovo. KSF soldiers are at the helm of obligations and responsibilities for guarding Kosovo's territory, Kosovo's borders, strengthening and advancing our army on its path to NATO.<\/p>\n
\u201cI strongly believe that being the most credible institution of the state of Kosovo, you will be followed in this journey by other institutions,” the president said while wishing them personally, their families and all the citizens of the country to achieve all the goals, desires and wills.<\/p>\n
“I strongly believe that the next year will be even more successful than the current one, and you will always be at helm of responsibilities and obligations and stay reassured that the state will always be there for you providing you the continued support so that you truly become a modern army, an army of Western standards as you already are, and to be at the helm of humanitarian, peaceful missions both in Kosovo, in the region and everywhere in the world, “he said.<\/p>\n
President Tha\u00e7i conveyed a special gratitude to them for their extraordinary, record-breaking and highly professional commitment regarding the earthquake in Albania.
