In this regard, Germany will remain a partner alongside Kosovo even in the future\u201d, it is said in the letter of President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.<\/p>\n<p>This is the full letter of the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Mr. President,<\/p>\n<p>I congratulate You and the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo on the Anniversary of the Independence.<\/p>\n<p>Kosovo and Germany are bonded by long-term relations. In these twelve years of its independence Kosovo has come a long way. And yet it still faces major tasks. Above all, sustainable reforms in the field of justice and rule of law are needed to strengthen Kosovo economically and bring it closer to the European Union. In addition to this, it is essential for Kosovo and the Western Balkans in general to make progress towards achieving a comprehensive agreement with Serbia, which contributes to the stability of the entire region.
