In order to coordinate the elections in Podujev\u00eb and in North Mitrovica, Acting President Dr. Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu held a virtual meeting with Mrs. Valdete Daka, CEC chairwoman.<\/p>\n
The Acting President offered her full support in order for the elections in these two municipalities to be so organized as to protect the health of the citizens, as well as their constitutional right to vote and to be elected.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Mrs. Daka informed the Acting President Osmani that all the necessary preparations have been made, both for the implementation of the manual for the protection from the pandemic, and for fair elections, in full compliance with democratic practices. She assured the Acting President that so far they have not encountered any problems and that they are in full coordination with the responsible institutions in order to ensure proper supply with all the necessary materials.<\/p>\n
In this context, Acting President Osmani called upon both the election staff and citizens to respect the measures for protection from the pandemic –\u00a0 hygiene, wearing of face masks and maintaining of the distance.
