On the occasion of Europe Day, the President of the Republic of Kosovo Dr. Vjosa Osmani said that for Kosovo, as well as for many European countries long before us, the price of achieving peace has been high.<\/p>\n
According to the President, this is the reason why we must work hard not only to preserve but also to strengthen these values, achieved with great effort.<\/p>\n
\u00a0“We are a peace-loving and obviously a pro-European country. Therefore, we aspire and we are working towards membership in the European Union, which we will do with dignity and in the interest of the citizens, in the first place “, said the President.<\/p>\n
\u00a0The first of state further emphasized that traditionally on this day, the EU institutions open their doors to the public, “The time has come for them to open their doors to Kosovo”, said President Osmani.

\nToday Europe celebrates peace and unity throughout the old continent. For Kosovo, as for many European countries, long before us, the price of achieving peace has been high. That is why we have to work hard not only to preserve but also to strengthen these values achieved with great effort.
\nWe are a peace-loving and obviously a pro-European country. Therefore, we aspire and are working towards membership in the European Union, which we will do with dignity and in the interest of the citizens, in the first place.
\nTraditionally on this day, EU institutions open their doors to the public. The time has come for them to open their doors to Kosovo.
\nThe credibility of the EU and its institutions depends on the keeping of its word regarding visa liberalization for the citizens of Kosovo. Kosovo, meanwhile, needs to make the necessary preparations to apply for candidate state status at an opportune moment.<\/p>\n
We all want a successful, prosperous Europe in which peace reigns! We have defended European civilizing values even in the Middle Ages, defining once and for all our strategic orientation. We do not play with two cards, between east and west. Integration into Euro-Atlantic structures is our permanent determination. Therefore, let us work with other European countries because as one of the oldest nations on the continent, the EU is our home!
