The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani commemorated the massacre committed upon the Deliu Family.<\/p>\n
President Osmani stated that the massacre against the Deliu family is proof of the brutality of the Serbian genocidal forces, to which justice has not as yet acted upon.<\/p>\n
“Planners and perpetrators must be brought to justice as a precondition that such barbaric acts are not to be repeated in any of the corners of the world,” said President Osmani.<\/p>\n
Following is President Osmani's post in its entirety:<\/p>\n
On September 25th\u00a0 1998, Deliu family sheltered in the mountains while seeking refuge from the barbarity of the genocidal forces of the Serbian regime.<\/p>\n
A day later, on September 26th 1998, 23 members of the Deliu family from age of 2 to the age of 94 were massacred at the very same place.<\/p>\n
Today we remember with anguish all those children, the elderly, women and youngsters who were shot at point blanc only because they were Albanians.<\/p>\n
Today we also remember the martyrs: Valdet Xhemajli, Vesel Demaku and Afrim Hajdari, who fell and are a demonstration of the sacrifice given for freedom.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The massacre of the Deliu family is proof of the brutality of the Serbian genocidal forces, to which justice has not as yet acted upon.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Peace only makes sense when by remembering the past, we address the responsibility for our people who were killed. Our endeavor will never cease to bring those who committed this cruel act to justice. We owe this to the victims and their families!\u00a0<\/p>\n
