The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani – Sadriu, on the 14th anniversary of the country\u2019s independence has received congratulatory telegrams from the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of the Republic of Albania, Ilir Meta, the King of the Netherlands Willem-Alexander R, the President of Bangladesh, Abdul Hamid, President of Slovenia, Borut Pahor.<\/p>\n
The President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in his telegram writes \u201cThe strong historical, cultural and humanitarian bonds between Turkey and Kosovo contribute to the development of our bilateral relations and also to peace and stability in the region. As Turkey, we will continue our support for Kosovo\u2019s EU and NATO membership and for getting the place it deserves in the international arena\u201d.<\/p>\n
In the congratulatory telegram, the President of the Republic of Albania, Ilir Meta congratulated the state authorities and all the citizens of Kosovo.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe achievements of the state of Kosovo in terms of democracy, free elections, the functioning of independent institutions and good governance, are impressive and a positive example to be followed\u201d, it is said in the telegram of President Meta.<\/p>\n
President Osmani also received a congratulatory telegram from the King of the Netherlands Willem-Alexander R, in which the challenges from the pandemic are mentioned.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wish you, your government and your people strength, courage and health as we all continue our efforts to overcome this crisis\u201d, it is said in the telegram.<\/p>\n
President Osmani was also congratulated by the President of Bangladesh, Abdul Hamid.<\/p>\n
\u201cI firmly believe that the existing bonds of friendship between our two countries will be further strengthened in the days to come. On this joyous occasion, I would like to wish you good health, long life and happiness and to the brotherly people of Kosovo continued peace, progress and prosperity\u201d, it is said in the telegram of President Hamid.<\/p>\n
President Osmani has also received a congratulatory telegram from the United Arab Emirates, which says: \u201cIt is a pleasure for me to send to Your Excellency and to the respected people of the Republic of Kosovo our sincere congratulations on the occasion of your Independence Day. I hope you will convey to your people the participation of the people from the United Arab Emirates in this special occasion\u201d.<\/p>\n
The President of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, has also congratulated President Osmani on Independence Day.<\/p>\n
\u201cSlovenia will continue to support Kosovo on its reform path needed to join the Euro-Atlantic structures. To ensure stability, development and moving closer to Euro-Atlantic integration, good neighbourly relations and regional cooperation are of vital importance.
