President Shiroka Pula spoke positively of the relations between Kosovo and Hungary, recalling that Hungary was among the first countries to recognize Kosovo\u2019s independence on March 19, 2008. She expressed an interest in further expansion of bilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n
In this context, Madam President emphasized the importance of identification of new areas of cooperation, particularly in the fields of economy, education, and defense.<\/p>\n
Regarding European integration, President Shiroka Pula stressed that membership in the European Union remains a strategic goal for Kosovo. On this notion, she requested Hungary\u2019s support in advancing the country toward candidate status and in taking further steps within the integration process.<\/p>\n
