The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the European Union Special Representative for the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Peter S\u00f8rensen.<\/p>\n
At the meeting, President Osmani emphasized the need to advance Kosovo\u2019s European integration process, and stressed the importance of the lifting of the unjust measures that are mostly affecting the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.<\/p>\n
The discussion also addressed the process of establishing the Assembly and other institutions, as well as the importance of these institutions functioning democratically to advance common objectives. Madam President also addressed the issue of arbitrary arrests of Kosovo citizens by Serbia, requesting the engagement of the international community so that Serbia can stop these illegal acts against Kosovo citizens.<\/p>\n
President Osmani emphasized that Kosovo remains committed to its European path and is fundamentally oriented towards democratic reforms, which should be rewarded with concrete steps by the European Union.<\/p>\n
President Osmani further underlined the importance of Kosovo\u2019s integration into international organizations, with particular emphasis on the Council of Europe, as well as other important organizations.<\/p>\n
Related to the dialogue, President Osmani emphasized the importance of a fair and impartial process, by defining clear objectives, which would also contribute to advancing peace, stability and the European perspective of the region as a whole.
