In April 1999, Polac and the surrounding villages experienced one of the most brutal offensives of the Serbian genocidal regime. Within a week, 78 Albanian civilians, men, women and children, were killed.<\/p>\n
Today, we bow with utmost respect to the memory of the 8 martyrs of the Kosovo Liberation Army, who fell on the altar of freedom.<\/p>\n
On April 7 of that year, the Serbian murderous machine also attacked Qabiq, where it executed 10 civilians, in another crime that testifies to the extent of the terror that was exercised over the Albanian population at that time.<\/p>\n
These massacres are not only painful memories, but part of our history, of the truth that must never be forgotten. By honoring martyrs and the fallen, we remember sacrifice, defend the truth, and reaffirm our commitment to justice.<\/p>\n
