The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received the Hungarian Minister for European Union Affairs, J\u00e1nos B\u00f3ka.<\/p>\n
The meeting discussed the current political and security situation, strengthening bilateral relations, the European integration process, and regional stability.<\/p>\n
President Osmani emphasized that Kosovo is a positive example in the region. It has taken important steps to strengthen the rule of law, fight corruption and organized crime, improve transparency, and promote good governance.<\/p>\n
According to President Osmani, Kosovo’s commitment to European integration remains strong, as work continues to be done towards the fulfillment of the EU membership criteria, and requested support for advancing Kosovo’s application for EU candidate country status.<\/p>\n
In this context, President Osmani reiterated the need to lift the EU measures against Kosovo, which, in addition to being unjust, directly affect the interests of Kosovo citizens, without distinction.<\/p>\n
Concerning the recent developments in the field of security in the north of the country, President Osmani reiterated Kosovo’s commitment to a full and professional investigation of the terrorist attack on vital infrastructure, which aimed to directly harm the lives of citizens.<\/p>\n
