The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today the US Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Western Balkans, Alexander Kasanof.<\/p>\n

The further strengthening of the alliance with the United States of America as well as the importance of close cooperation to achieve common strategic goals were discussed at the meeting.<\/p>\n

President Osmani expressed her deep gratitude for the continuous support of the USA to Kosovo, laying out the need for a strategic dialogue with the USA, as an important step in strengthening the partnership, a request that has been stipulated by President Osmani for many years now.<\/p>\n

In this context, President Osmani underlined the importance of Kosovo’s membership in NATO, stressing that Kosovo integrated in the North Atlantic Alliance strengthens the security of the country and also contributes to the stability of the region.<\/p>\n
