The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today members of the Parliament of Finland and, at the same time members of the Foreign Affairs Committee, headed by the Chairman of the Committee, Kimmo Kiljunen.
Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe and other international organizations, Kosovo-Finland bilateral relations, increasing cooperation between the two countries, as well as recent developments were discussed at the meeting.
President Osmani expressed her deep gratitude for Finland’s steadfast and continuous support during every stage our state went through. In this spirit, President Osmani thanked the Finnish MPs in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe for their unsparing support for Kosovo’s membership in this organization, stressing the importance of this membership for strengthening human rights for all citizens without distinction, strengthening democracy, as well as the rule of law.
The importance of increasing cooperation between Kosovo and Finland was also discussed as a joint goal of both countries.
