The President visited the quarantine at the Student Campus, received information on the steps undertaken in caring for those returned

Prishtina, March 27th 2020 – President of the country Hashim Thaçi, visited today the Student Campus , to closely observe the measures being taken in caring for Kosovars returned from abroad, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

President Thaçi said that he is pleased to see the state capacities in service to the fighting of COVID 19 virus.

“Student Campus has been converted into a quarantine for those returning from abroad , for the benefit of the returnees, for the benefit of their families and of the health of the whole of our society. Of course, we require much more discipline. Those authorised by the National Public Health Institute and employees of the Family Medicine Centre are doing an excellent job here,” said President Thaçi.

The head of state added that two days ago he visited UCCK and there he saw a total mobilisation, yesterday he visited the Medical Battalion of the Kosovo Security Force and today he saw the mobilisation at the Student Campus, which has been converted to quarantine for returned Kosovars.

“From the director and the doctors I was informed about all the circumstances, the opportunities and capacities being utilised. As institutions we must continue to provide much stronger support with all the available potential, which has not been lacking so far, and I am exceptionally encouraged with the work being carried out, “said the President.

President Thaçi  said that his message consists in the point that in order to prevent the worst, in this battle with the evil, citizens must remain in their homes and that by doing this, they look after themselves, their families and the whole society.

“Stay at home, without panic, without fear. Take the maximal care,”concluded President Thaçi.
