At the invitation of the Albright family, the President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, together with Prime Minister Albin Kurti attended the funeral ceremony of Kosovo's great friend, former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.
President Osmani said that today in Washington D.C., we gave our last farewell to the great friend of Kosovo, the guardian of freedom and democracy and the powerful voice of our people, Madeleine Albright.
“We are forever grateful for Secretary Albright's extraordinary contribution to the ending of the Serbian genocide in Kosovo, as well as her continued support for a free, independent, developed Kosovo with a deserved place in the international arena,” said President Osmani.
