The President: Once upon a time other countries were to us, but today we are able to become a temporary home to those who left theirs behind

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani accompanied by the US Embassy Charge d'Affaires Mr. Nicholas Giacobbe, visited Camp Liya today.
President Osmani said that we understood once again today the importance of warmth and the level of kindness that should characterize a country that opens its doors to those in need.

"Kosovo and the people of Kosovo will always be there to provide security and shelter," emphasized Madam President.

Following is President Osmani's post in its entirety:

Today, together with the US Embassy Charge d'Affaires Mr. Nicholas Giacobbe we visited Camp Liya. Surrounded by Afghan children who continued to happily play, albeit in foreign lands, we understood once again today the importance of warmth and the level of kindness that should characterize a country that opens its doors to those in need.

Once upon a time, other countries were to us but today we are able to become a temporary home to those whole left theirs behind.

Kosovo and the people of Kosovo will always be there to provide security and shelter. We feel honored to be able to stand by our allies.
