The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, remembered Ekrem Rexha-
Commander Drini, on the 21st anniversary of the murder.
President Osmani said that what he did in the war, he did in peace, becoming the
model of the man who took up the fight for the homeland for the greater good.

Commander Drini (Ekrem Rexha), was a devoted KLA fighter and liberator with integrity, who understood freedom to be the foundation of the state. What he did during the war, he did in peace, becoming the model of the man who took up the fight for the homeland for the greater good. On the 21st anniversary of the assassination, when justice has not yet been served, we humbly remember the man whose acts shall serve as a guide and paradigm on how to fight and how to build peace and state.
May the memory of Commander Drini be eternal!
