President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, decreed today the three laws which change the mandate and the mission of the Kosovo Security Force.
Based on Article 80 (2) and Article 84 (4 and 5) of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, President Thaçi decreed the Law No. 06/L-12 on the Kosovo Security Force, Law No. 06/L-122 on the Ministry of Defence, and Law No. 06/L-124 on the Service in the Kosovo Security Force.
“As the President of the Republic of Kosovo and the Supreme Commander of the Kosovo Army, I congratulate you honourable Commander, all the soldiers, Officers, Petty Officers and the people of Kosovo. I thank our international supporters, USA and all the other allied countries on this important day of the officialising of the Kosovo Army”, said President Thaçi.
The three draft laws were approved with a majority vote by the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo on December 14th 2018.
