The President of the Swiss Confederation, Micheline Calmy-Rey sent a congratulatory telegram to the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga.
In the congratulatory message it is said:
Madam President,
After your election as President of the Republic of Kosovo, I am pleased to expressed to you, on behalf of the Swiss Federal Council, my heartfelt congratulations, wishing you success in your high mission and for the prosperity of the people of Kosovo.
That the ties of friendship and cooperation which divide our two countries to intensify even more in the future.
I ask you to accept, Madam President, my highest considerations.
