The President of the Republic of Kosovo met with the President of the Parliament of Bavaria

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madame Atifete Jahjaga, met in Munich with the Bavarian President of the Parliament, Mrs. Barbara Stamm.

President Jahjaga and Mrs. Stamm discussed about the developments in Kosovo and on identifying the areas of cooperation between Kosovo and the Free State of Bavaria.

President Jahjaga, who is participating in the 48th Security Conference in Munich, thanked Madame Stamm for the contribution of Germany to freedom, state-building and consolidation of the state of Kosovo, for recognizing the independence, the German capital investments and ensuring security in Kosovo with the presence of German soldiers within KFOR.

President Jahjaga said that with the help and effort of the friends of Kosovo, among them even Germany, and with the will and labor of the people of Kosovo, Kosovo is an independent and sovereign state and constitutes a success story.

President Jahjaga said that Kosovo has made progress in the implementation of the Ahtisaari Plan and noted that as an independent and sovereign state, the Republic of Kosovo ensures the implementation and fulfillment of all international commitments and obligations.

President Jahjaga and Madame Stamm also discussed about the ways of cooperation in the central and local level, including parliamentary experience exchange, twinning of cities and increasing cooperation in economy, education and culture between the two countries.
