The President of the Republic of Kosovo Dr. Vjosa Osmani accompanied by Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Agani family members paid tribute to the tomb of academician Fehmi Agani on the 22nd anniversary of his assassination.
President Osmani said that Fehmi Agani has made an extraordinary contribution to the establishment of the foundations of the state of Kosovo.
Ms. Osmani further stated that we are gathered here today to remember in the first place his freedom-loving spirit, but above all the intellectual who never stopped working for Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state.
“He was a man who always knew how to bring everyone together in the most challenging of times. He was the right hand of the historic president Dr. Ibrahim Rugova, and above all worked hard that the sacrifice of the people of Kosovo for freedom is heard beyond its borders, thus contributing in an extraordinary way to the building of bridges and friendships from which today, 22 years later, Kosovo continues to benefit from in its state-building processes “, added the President.
The head of state said that just as for all those who lost their lives due to the acts of the Serbian genocidal regime, even today we continue to demand justice.
