The President of the Republic of Kosovo said that the early death of Buqe, as she was known among artistic circles, is a great loss for the art, culture and cinematography of Kosovo.
“She represents a generation of creators, who were molded in times of resistance and developed their creativity alongside it, turning art into resistance and evidence,” said the President.

I received the news of the death of film director Burbuqe Berisha with deep sorrow . Buqe's, as she was known among artistic circles, early death is a great loss for the art, culture and cinematography of Kosovo.
She represents a generation of creators, who were molded in times of resistance and developed their creativity alongside it, turning art into resistance and evidence
Her work as a director at the National Theater, at the “Faruk Begolli” theater, but also at other theaters, remains a strong seal in the development of the theater, but also of the cultural life in general.
In addition to working in the theater, Buqe has given a significant contribution to the education of the younger generations, being a respected lecturer.
Her passing away will leave a great void in our public life.
