Prishtina, April 27, 2018 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has appointed Valdete Daka as the President of the Central Election Commission.
President Thaçi took this decision pursuant to Article 84 (item 26) and Article 139 (paragraph 3) of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, Article 61 (paragraphs 1 and 2) of Law No. 03/L-073 on the General Elections in the Republic of Kosovo (OG, No. 31, June 15, 2008), and Article 6 of the Law No. 03/L-094 on the President of the Republic of Kosovo (OG, No. 47, January 25, 2009).
“I solemnly declare that I will perform my duties as President of the Central Election Commission in an honest, loyal, impartial, professional and conscientious manner”, said President Daka during her oath.
President Thaçi wished President Daka new successes in the work as President of the Central Election Commission.
