The President: a united Parliament must condemn the Serbian genocide and must ask for justice

Korishë, May 13th 2019 – The President of the republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, participated today at the Memorial Meeting in honour of Martyr’s Day, at Korisha village.

President Thaçi said that today we remember with the utmost piety, with highest state honours and respect, martyrs of Korisha and surrounding villages, fallen 20 years ago.

“Women, children and elderly and Albanian civilians, were murdered in circumstances which were imposed by the Serbian state. In conditions where they were forced to leave their houses, their yards, their lands, and forcefully loaded into trucks, held captive and locked until the moment it all happened, “said President Thaçi.

The head of state said that this massacre and the Korisha victims are explicit victims of the genocide of the Serbian state and the ethnic cleansing perpetrated by the state of Serbia.

He also said that it is good that finally, the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo has decided to in a unified manner move ahead through issuing of a resolution and other subsequent documentation, which clearly condemn the genocide perpetrated by Serbia in Kosovo and which asks for justice from all international instances.
