The Office of the President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, published today an open call for the nomination of three members by the civil society for the Council for Democracy and Human Rights.
This Council is a derivative of the commitments that the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo have taken in the framework of the first edition of the Summit for Democracy organized by the President of the United States of America Joe Biden.
Consequently, President Vjosa Osmani has initiated the establishment of the Council for Democracy and Human Rights, which will play the role of the mechanism responsible for guiding and ensuring the smooth running of all institutions which are directly responsible for fulfilling the presented commitments at the Summit for Democracy.
This Council will be responsible in ensuring monitoring, transparency and accountability related to the fulfilment of these commitments.
