The Acting President, Dr. Vjosa Osmani had a conversation with children on Universal Children’s Day

Osmani: Let us work every day so we can build the Kosovo the children dream of

The Acting President, Dr. Vjosa Osmani on the Universal Day of Children’s Rights talked today in an online meeting with 30 children from the Municipal Assemblies of children of Prizren, Prishtina, Gjilan and Gjakova.

This conversation was held in honor of November 20, which by decision of the United Nations is a day dedicated to the rights of children.

Acting President Osmani congratulated the children on the occasion of their day and expressed regret that due to the circumstances created by the Covid-19 pandemic, it was not possible to welcome them to the Presidency.

Mrs. Osmani assured them of continued support and commitment to the protection of children’s rights, in order to improve the well-being and make Kosovo what they dream of.

“Our country is a better place when your childhood is beautiful and healthy, when every friend from your neighborhood, village or city has the opportunity to be educated and get quality education, when you can play in parks and in clean air, when your opportunities to advance and to constantly acquire new skills are numerous and easily accessible”, said the Acting President. She said she strongly believes in this, because: “When children are well, healthy, well educated, and empowered, such will be the future of our country”.

In the virtual conversation with the little ones, the Acting President had also the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the Municipal Assemblies of children, the challenges and requests of children from the respective municipalities. While, the children used the opportunity to address the Acting President a series of questions related to her work.
