The Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo dr. Vjosa Osmani – Sadriu, in honor of the 13th anniversary of the declaration of the independence of the Republic of Kosovo, awarded today two presidential medals. The Presidential Military Medal was awarded to the Search and Rescue Unit of the Kosovo Security Force, for their contribution in the field of defense of the Republic of Kosovo and its citizens. This Unit has for years distinguished itself in its work in various search and rescue missions, at home and abroad.
Also, the film director Blerta Basholli was awarded the Presidential Medal of Merit, for her contribution to the field of culture. The film ‘Woke up’ directed by Mrs. Blerta Basholli has won the three main awards of the biggest film festival in the USA, the Sundance Film Festival.
The Presidential Medal Award Ceremony will be organized in the forthcoming days.
