The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani received today in a meeting
the Swiss Ambassador, Mr. Thomas Kolly, who congratulated her on her assignment
and handed her the congratulatory letter sent by the Swiss President, Mr. Guy
Parmelin.
Ambassador Kolly reaffirmed the excellent relations between the Republic of Kosovo
and Switzerland, expressing the readiness and willingness of the Swiss institutions
for a new chapter of even more intensive and broader cooperation.
Whereas, President Osmani stressed that both countries enjoy a special relationship
due to the close connection that the citizens of Kosovo have with Switzerland.
“We are very interested to deepen cooperation and look at opportunities to advance
trade exchanges, the development of economic diplomacy, and cooperation in
various fields starting from the rule of law to environmental protection”, stressed
President Osmani.
In this context, the Swiss Ambassador, on behalf of the Swiss Economic Forum,
handed over the invitation to President Osmani for the next meeting to be held in
September, which will be attended by representatives of some of the largest Swiss
and world companies.
The parties also discussed about the situation with the pandemic and the possibilities
for the realization of a bilateral cooperation towards the provision of vaccines in the
near future.
