President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today at a meeting the Head of the EU Rule of Law Mission, Mr. Bernd Borchardt, with whom she discussed the proper conduct of the pre term general elections in the country, held on June 8th.
President Jahjaga praised the work and the engagements of the EULEX Mission during the electoral process, in particular the Mission’s cooperation with the other institutions of the country which were mandated with the proper proceeding of the whole electoral process. She said that the pre term general elections in the country were peaceful, transparent, comprehensive and free, which has demonstrated the political maturity of the Kosovar society. President Jahjaga emphasized that all the institutions mandated with organisation, conduct and security of the electoral process, inclusive of international missions which helped in it, have shown their professionalism and readiness through the whole duration of the process.
Head of the EU Rule of Law Mission, EULEX, Mr. Bernd Borchardt, congratulated President Jahjaga and all responsible organisations, on the organisation of good and democratic elections. He said that EULEX Mission has cooperated with all responsible institutions for the security of elections and has helped the process to remain peaceful.
