President Thaçi thanked Vice President Wilson for the continued contribution of the Atlantic Council in Kosovo on the strengthening of security structures.

“On the 20th anniversary of the liberation of Kosovo, the people and the state of Kosovo are eternally grateful for the decisive role of the USA in the freedom and independence of Kosovo”, he said.

In this meeting there was also discussed about the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and the necessity of using the momentum for reaching a comprehensive and legally binding agreement.

“The lack of an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia could have implications for the security and stability in the region and paves the way for anti-European elements”, said President Thaçi.

President Thaçi has said that along with the USA the maximum commitment to maintain and develop peace and security in Kosovo and the region will continue.
