The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, as a continuation of the bilateral meetings held during her stay in Japan, was received at a meeting by the Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga.
She thanked Prime Minister Suga for the support provided to Kosovo and stressed that Japan is a strategic partner. In this context, President Osmani also thanked Prime Minister Suga for the support that this country has given to Kosovo in the field of healthcare and environment and expressed readiness to further expand cooperation in other areas of common interest, in particular to Japanese investments in Kosovo.
President Osmani asked for Japanese support in the strengthening of Kosovo's international position, especially in the process of recognition and membership in international organizations.
The possibilities for student exchange in different educational programs were also discussed.
President Osmani has extended an official invitation to Prime Minister Suga to visit Kosovo at an appropriate time, in order to further strengthen the partnership with the Japanese state.
